We are currently remodeling our master bedroom. Not quite done yet, but I am excited that we have finished our bed frame for our king size mattress.
The style of our bedroom is a cross between farmhouse (not on purpose, but just seemed to have the vibe), but still leaning toward the contemporary side.
The bedframe is walnut wood. The frame is stained with Minwax – Ebony and the top of the legs has just a clear coat. At this stage, there is a backer board for the head board that we painted black. Electrical was installed for out lights.
The walnut slats stained also stained in ebony are being installed on the black backer board.
With the slats completed for the headboard, we installed lights and able to attach the bedframe to the headboard.
Up close picture of the headboard with the lights. The lights have a dimmer switch on it, perfect for either reading or soft light at night.
Here are the final pictures of the completed bed. Very happy how it turned out and it looks great in our room.
