This bathroom remodel had unique challenges. The house style is Tudor and the bathroom was in the turret. Very beautiful home, but the bath was in desperate need of updating and we had curved walls to work with.
Our client wanted a black and white theme bathroom. We went thru a process to find just the right tile for the floor. We got this tile from ANT Tile. They have beautiful geometric tile design.
Snowy River Quartz counter were installed and a modern style faucet from Kohler Purist Series.
The bathroom had a closet that was supposed to be taken out, but decided to keep it for extra storage. We built two doors to match the cabinetry. The floor tile was continued into the shower area and was finished off with a simple white subway tile. To continue the flow of the white subway, we wrapped the tile around the bathroom.
To keep shower area clean and organized, we added inset shelving for shampoo, conditioner, and a by-pass glass shower door with towel bar.
This bathroom is a great example to use a less expensive subway tile for the main space and add the punch in a specific area – such as the floor. The style has a modern feel that is a contrast to the traditional Tudor style home, but with the simple classic colors – it just works.
