This Family Room was due for an update. The homeowners enjoyed many years in this space, but it did not function for their life style and it was time to give it a face lift.
We took down all the walls to the studs, updated electrical, as needed, and removed the swing doors that divided the entry way into the family room.
The fireplace had a total transformation. We took off the existing face brick and installed face stone extending from floor to ceiling. We added electrical and TV bracket. This enabled the homeowners to move their TV to a new location and allows them to have more furniture placement options.
The nook area by the fireplace was also updated. We installed Merillat Cabinetry – Fusion style cabinets- color Night Fall with bar handles and we made a couple of shelves to match the finish. These cabinets have a flat face for easy cleaning. The counter is a Quartz – color Glacier Ice with an eased edge detail. This quartz was also installed in the bay window seat area.
It is amazing how different this room is with the updated finishes. Finishing the room with freshly painted walls, painted trim installed and carpet, this Family Room has a new life.
The homeowners will be able to enjoy their new space for many years.
